Purple Giraffe is excited to announce our sponsorship of the Best Digital Communication category in the 2025 Wine Communicator of the Year Awards, presented by Wine Communicators of Australia.

This award recognises outstanding individuals and teams who are shaping the future of wine storytelling through digital platforms – from blogs, podcasts and YouTube to EDMs, paid campaigns and social media. It celebrates quality content, meaningful engagement, and innovative use of digital tools across multiple formats.

If you or someone you know is producing exceptional wine-related digital content, this is your chance to be recognised by industry peers.

About the Award

The Best Digital Communication category is open to individuals or organisations that:

  • Publish an Australian wine-focused series across 2 or more digital platforms

  • Have created at least 3 digital pieces on the same platform (e.g. 3 x podcasts or blogs)

  • Focus on content that is at least 90% digital, not a simple repurpose of print

  • Delivered content between 1 July 2024 and 31 July 2025

Judges will be looking at audience engagement, creativity, content relevance, and the ability to convey wine knowledge in an accessible and compelling way.

Key Dates

  • Entries close: 15 August 2025

  • Finalists announced: Mid-September 2025

  • Awards ceremony: 6 November 2025 (attended by our Head Giraffe, Lynda)
