New Instagram features

Instagram just took carousels to a whole new level, confirming that users can now include up to 20 frames in a single carousel post*. This expansion offers more creative freedom, allowing you to tell richer, more detailed stories with your photos and videos.

Imagine curating a carousel that’s essentially a live photo album from a recent event or an in-depth visual guide on a specific topic—now you can do just that with up to 20 images or videos. This change gives creators more space to share their content in a cohesive and engaging way.

Instagram hasn’t stopped there. They’ve been experimenting with additional features, such as text overlays within carousels and variable presentation formats for images within a set. These enhancements make it easier to craft visually stunning and more interactive posts.

This update opens up new possibilities for marketers, offering a more dynamic and immersive way to engage with your audience. Whether you’re showcasing a project, telling a story, or sharing an experience, the expanded carousel format could be the perfect tool to elevate your Instagram game.

How will you use this new feature?

*We have tested the twenty carousel images or videos update and so far this can only be posted natively, not through a scheduling platform or Meta Business Suite Composer.
