Super Bowl = Mega Marketing

It’s one of the biggest days in marketing and advertising.  Today was Super Bowl 2019.

The New England Patriots took on the Los Angeles Rams in Super Bowl 53 in Atlanta under the roof of the Mercedes Benz Stadium.  Super Bowl is more than just an NFL game, it’s about the half time entertainment which attracts some of the entertainment industry’s biggest names and even the TV ads…. which result in some of the years most creative, resource intensive and expensive ads of the year.

Well over 100 million people were expected to tune into the 2019 broadcast in the USA alone – not to mention world wide.  So with an audience that size, it is no surprise it costs a lot to secure coveted air time.  It is reported that CBS charged between $5.1 & $5.3 million for a 30-second commercial.

Some of the biggest names in business – Amazon, Audi, Budweiser, Pepsi, Pringles, Microsoft, Olay etc – invested in showcasing their products and services on the biggest stage. Marketing Magazine has a full wrap of the TVC’s here.

….Oh, and by the way 2019 saw Patriots win their 6th Super Bowl.
